TRIO LIFE--3 Months out

Hello everyone!!

This has been an incredible week! Don't have much time so I will just share a tender mercy that happened on Saturday.

Sister Turner, Sister Clifford and Sister Schultz--Trio Team!

We found out that Sister Clifford and I were going to become a Trio with Sister Turner! She was my STL last transfer and I love her so much! She is an amazing missionary and knows how to make it fun! Although we were so pumped about the Trio, we were also sad that our time as a companionship was over.

So we decided to take our dinner hour and go to this restaurant! It was so fancy and had the yummiest food! Kind of like wingers back home. SO GOOD! Anyways we wanted to be fast so we sat outside because that is all that was open.

We looked around and it ended up being a smoking area. This couple, Annette and Tom came by us and asked to sit and smoke by us because there were no other seats. We said of course!! They were so nice and friendly towards us and what we do as missionaries. We talked the whole night with them while they enjoyed the area we were in. They couldn't believe that we were so young and were away from home for so long!

We were waiting for our check and then Tom went inside for a minute. When he came back our waiter said "you ladies are good to go, your bill has been taken care of!"

TOM PAID FOR US!! It was the sweetest thing, Sister Clifford and I almost cried because we couldn't believe it. We thanked them and all they said was " we respect you for doing the Lords work, thank you for being a light to this world!"  We hugged Annette and thanked Tom before we left! The south truly does have the greatest people here!! I'm so lucky to have the opportunity to serve as a missionary here!

This experience taught me so much about the love our Savior has for us. Not going to lie at first I was a little hesitant to have them join, because smoke around the food not the best situation. But I am so grateful that I did because it was so enjoyable to get to know them! None of that would have happened if we didn't accept them as they are.

That is how the Savior is with all of us. He just accepts us as we are and shows us the way we could be. It's no second thoughts or hesitations on if you can come. He will never look at you like your a waste of time! He is constantly calling out to us to "come unto Him". Christ didn't come to save those who are perfect, if we were perfect w wouldn't need a Savior. He came here to show us the way. He came here to show us how to love everyone. He came here to show us how to accept everyone.

I'm forever grateful for the night I spent with Annette and Tom. I'm grateful for their kindness towards me and my beliefs. And I'm most grateful for the way my Savior showed me what can happen when you accept everyone, no matter where they are at in life.
I just want encourage all of y'all to strive to see everyone the way the Savior would! It changes your life as you do so. I can promise you will feel more love for those around you and you'll come to know the power of your Savior's love!

I literally love, love! I love this mission so much and I'm grateful to be serving here!! I'm so grateful for the chance I have to represent my Savior and His true church! This is the greatest work on earth!

I love y'all so much!! have a great week!

WEEK TWELVE--Wait Come Back! Can we have more of those Books???

This week has been filled with so many miracles!
Sister Clifford and I at the Birmingham Temple
Last night was the first time we got to knock doors because we are always so busy! The first door we knocked on were five guys and they said we could come back another time to teach them more. We kept knocking other houses and then saw them again. They asked us so many questions and it was so cool because we answered every single one! I honestly know that it was all the Spirit prompting me to say the things they needed to hear! We gave them the two Book of Mormons we had and went to our car. One of them came running after us and asked if they could have one Book of Mormon for each person!!! We couldn't believe it!

Birmingham Alabama Temple
We got to go to the temple as a mission on Wednesday! We drove the whole hour it takes to get their and as soon as we pulled into the parking lot they called to say there was water damage and we're going to have to reschedule! We were so sad but then Sister Sainsbury said we could do baptism instead. That was a special moment and probably one of my favorite memories I've made on my mission. President Sainsbury was able to confirm us afterwards, there was definitely a special spirit that will only come from this day. The whole time Sister Clifford was holding my hand and we were both just so happy! This overwhelming, endless JOY came as we sat in the house of the Lord. The temple worker looked at us, paused and then said "President, I think you have a good companionship on your hands, they truly love each other!" I really do love Sister Clifford so much and I know that God specifically put her with me for so many reasons! I'm grateful for the things I'm able to learn from her. This day definitely didn't go as planned but I think that is what makes it so special! The Lord is always looking out for you, even If things don't go as you thought they should, keep trusting because they may even turn out better than you thought!

We Skyped Tyler on Saturday afternoon because he is still in Washington. He looked up the temple and took the day off work to go and walk the temple grounds! With out us even telling him to do it, he just knew that if it was the house of the Lord he needed to go experience it for himself. He just talked with us about the feelings he had while walking around. He was so happy and just kept saying how he felt like a little kids again, just so amazed by all that was around him. He started to cry as he told us this is the Church he wants to be apart of. He said he couldn't deny the Spirit he felt while being their and knew that this is the fullness of Christ True Church!

Sister Schultz, Sister Clifford and Tracy having dinner
Decorating Tracy's Little Girls Bedroom
On Saturday night we were able to go to Tracy's and help her cook dinner! We were able to read the Book of Mormon with her because we taught her all the lessons in a week! (I'm telling you there are so many amazing miracles here in Cullman, I'm blown away every day!!) Tracy has changed her whole life around in a matter of weeks and its so amazing to see how the Gospel can make that possible. She is so excited to be baptized she keeps telling everyone "I'm going to be a Mormon on the 29th!" I've never felt so much love for an individual I've only know for two weeks! It's a love like nothing else! It's hard to explain but the only way I really can is that I just feel how much Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ love her. Once you feel that you are able to truly see them how He does. I know that same love is felt for each one of you! It doesn't matter who you are or what you do, Gods love is infinite for you! You are His and that will never change!

The Book of Mormon will change your life if you sincerely read it and seek to know if it's true. I can't ever deny that it is true! I've read it and prayed to know for myself. The answer that I received is something I know I can never deny! That is truly the only way to know for your self that it is true, by sincerely studying and praying to know. The Book of Mormon is truly another testament of Jesus Christ, I'm grateful to have it in my life!

Our relationship explained perfectly by Nutella Jars
Sunday was fast Sunday and I have never fully understood the power of fasting until my mission! We had FIVE people we are teaching come to church and then two members brought friends we were able to meet! Heavenly Father truly will bless you with more abundance than he ever will asked you to give up. That is why He requires us to sacrifice, so he can give us something even greater! I love fast Sundays because I know now the true power that will come because of it. I'm grateful for this new strengthened testimony I've been able to receive! To end our fasts, the whole mission kneels in prayer where ever we are serving and prayers from 4pm to 5pm. It is some of the most spiritual times on my mission being able to talk to my Father in Heaven about everything for an hour. I will never be able to fully explain the feelings that come when I do this. I know that doubts will come and things will seem unsure and not always make sense but I will NEVER be able to deny the feelings I have had during these times of mighty prayer. I know because of the feelings and the witness of the spirit, My Savior LIVES! I know that Heavenly Father has a plan and infinite love for me. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that it was translated by the Prophet Joseph Smith by the power of God. I know that my family loves me and that each one of them are being taken care of by Him.

I will never be able to put into words what my mission means to me. It is the single most greatest thing I could ever do FOR my life! I've never been so happy in my whole life and I know its because I feel my Savior by my side every single day! I pray to Heavenly Father all the time and ask why I get to see the miracles I do and feel the special spirit of knowing this is the Truth. I haven't figured out answer yet but know that I am eternally grateful for the way God has directed my path to be where I am today! I love Alabama with all my heart!! I love being a missionary here!!!

I would invite y'all to just openly seek to find the truth.  I promise if you truly want to know and are sincerely trying to draw closer to Him, you will be able to know with out a doubt that this is the Truth! It only comes by the special witness of the Holy Ghost and you can have that witness if you earnestly seek it. I testify that this is the True Gospel of Jesus Christ and it is the one thing on earth that will bring eternal joy!

I hope y'all have an amazing week!!

LOVE Y'ALL SO MUCH!!!

We got gas at an old station in the middle of no where.  It was so old we didn't know how it work and the worker had to come and help us....hahaha
